Ask a questionBefore your next move.
Need to start an order? Use our permit request form. Learn more about dispatching services or read our legal disclosures.
What information do I need for a permit request?
Have your company contact information, origin, destination, states along the route, travel date, loaded dimensions, gross weight, and axle configuration ready. Our request form guides you through the details.
Does submitting the form mean my permit is issued?
No. A request starts the review process. It does not issue a permit or authorize travel. Wait for the applicable agency-issued permits and review their conditions before moving.
When do I pay for my permits?
Permits must be paid in advance of issuance. Hammerlane will provide the applicable charges and payment instructions after reviewing your request.
How long will it take to get a permit?
Timing depends on the issuing agency, the load, route, and completeness of the information. Send your request as early as possible and tell us your planned travel date. We’ll discuss timing for your particular move; submitting a request does not guarantee a completion date.
What if my route, equipment, or travel date changes?
Contact the permit team promptly before moving. Changes may require agency approval, a corrected permit, or an additional permit. Additional fees and processing time may apply.
What if I find an error on a permit?
Do not travel under a permit you know or suspect is incorrect. Email the permit number and discrepancy to permits@hammerlanelm.com so clarification or correction can be coordinated. Review our Legal Disclosures page for customer and agency responsibilities.
Does Hammerlane offer dispatching services?
Yes. Our Dispatching division works with owner operators and trucking companies to discuss support with load details, scheduling, communication, and paperwork. Contact dispatch@hammerlanelm.com with your equipment, number of trucks, home base, and preferred lanes.
How do I find out about dispatching fees?
Send us your operation details and the support you need. We’ll discuss the scope and service terms with you before services begin.
What can we help you with?
Choose permitting or dispatching in the question box. It will prepare a message to that division in your email app.
